The purpose of the literature review is to examine effects of technologies application on nursing practice and the level of healthcare services quality. The topic of article by Aydin et al. (2017) is ‘Wearable Technology in Nursing’. It is a secondary source. The research is aimed at investigation of nursing practice improvement with the help of technologies. The methodology used for the investigation can be identified as a descriptive one, because it represents synthesis of other authors’ works results. Instead of the sample, the authors use 13 different peer reviewed articles representing their knowledge within the results of their investigation. As a result, authors claim that the modern technologies contribute to creation of wearable devices helping people to know their bodies better and live healthier lives through using complex network of specialized interrelated tools (Aydin et al., 2017). The conclusion of the research is that application of new technologies in nursing can significantly improve the modern practices of healthcare revolutionizing it and providing accurately generated personal medical record for each patient.

Its results claim that use of technologies in nursing is beneficial for the patients and medical workers. Applying technologies in healthcare results in improved patient outcomes and high satisfaction levels. Additionally, medical records about health conditions of a particular patient can be created in a much faster way with the help of technologies.
